Caught in the Spray: "It was really cool, I felt like it was a water park," Brock, a Broadway diva in the making with a prowess for pageantry, said excitedly. "My mom did really good on my spray tan!"If It Ain't Broke: Sydney, 6, a veteran of so-called "natural" pageants where they don't even let the kids wear fake eyelashes (my word!) is nicknamed the "title stealer." Why For all the times she's left her home state of Indiana to snatch other states' titles from the clutches of her fellow first-graders, that's why! But now mom Kim is preparing Sydney for her first "full glitz" event. Can she hack it!Live and Learn: Shanna will never shave Savannah's eyebrows again, and has instead embarked on a waxing-and-tweezing routine. Is it just us, or do these girls start looking younger the more hairspray and makeup is plastered to their tiny faces and headsCry, Baby!: "If you cry, you cannot compete," Shanna warned Savannah as her daughter picked frustratingly at her hair piece. "We cannot have anymore tears." Kim, meanwhile, teared up when she saw Sydne all glitzed up, looking "like a 16-year-old little girl." Hmm, how about we all have a cry nowImprov Dramedy: Brock, who BTW seems like the only kid who really wants to be doing this, is psyched to don his sparkly red shirt and "cool black pants" for his half-choreographed, half-improvised dance routine.Lockout Freakout: Shanna forgot Savannah's number in their hotel room, and when she ran back to get it, neither of her key cards worked! Such a freakin' disaster! The manager refused to believe without proof that room 511 really was Shanna's, so the employee went up by herself while Shanna complained to anyone who would listen that Savannah's number was locked in their room! And these mothers worry about their daughters losing face. (P.S. The number was arrived and pinned to Savannah in time for her Casual Wear Routine.)Bringin' Down the House: Even some of his fellow contestants were bopping their thickly sprayed heads to the music when Brock started dancing. Mom Tori has every reason to be proud of her brave little boy who seems more comfortable with himself than most guys three times his age.

World's Longest Inflatable Waterslide Makes Splash in U.s.
VERNON, New Jersey – Action Park is officially in the record books after testing a new ride befitting of the park's wild and storied history. The World's Longest Inflatable Waterslide was officially certified by Guinness World Records Friday at 1,975-feet long.A select few employees were the first – and only – individuals granted the opportunity to take the slide for a spin Friday afternoon because it is not yet approved by the state Department of Community Affairs. The World's Longest Waterslide, brought over from New Zealand and rebuilt on Mountain Creek's ski slopes, is made of 10,000 feet of polyvinyl chloride, the same material used to make bounce houses.Built by Jimi Hunt and the Live More Awesome Foundation, the waterslide consists of twenty 100-foot sections, each weighing about 600 pounds. With a total of nearly 6 million stitches capable of holding 25 pounds each, it took 600 hours to stitch and assemble the plastic on the ride. It takes two generators and 15 blowers to keep the waterslide inflated, and 400 pegs to hold it in place.A 1.8 inch base separates riders from the ground, allowing for no weight restrictions for the record-breaking waterslide. The slide uses about 1,000 gallons per hour to operate, provided by Mountain Creek Resort's Snowmaking System. The average waterslide takes 10 to 30 seconds to ride but the World's Longest Waterslide is 60 to 90 seconds long, according to Action Park.Non-employees may have to wait awhile to ride the mammoth contraption. Action Park spokeswoman Lauren Scrudato said there is currently no timeline for when the waterslide will be state-certified and open to the public, citing a "lengthy process."The World's Longest Waterslide's journey to Action Park can be seen on an upcoming episode of Travel Channel's "Xtreme Waterparks" series airing July 26 at 10 p.m. An earlier episode of the show aired in June and chronicled the construction of the slide. One of the country's first waterparks, Action Park was open between 1978 and 1996, but closed due to a change in ownership. The park reopened as Mountain Creek Waterpark in 1998 with many of the same rides.A few summers ago, a viral video about the park titled "The Most Insane Amusement Park Ever" gave Mountain Creek Resort President Benneyan the idea to re-open the water park under its original Action Park name in 2014.Photos: Action Park employees test World's Longest WaterslideAction Park has more than 30 rides, slides and attractions, including the Cliff Jumps, Tarzan Swings and Colorado Rapids River Ride.
